Postdoctoral Scholar, Department of Surgical Oncology, The James Comprehensive Cancer Center, The Ohio State University
I am a postdoctoral scholar at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Ohio State University, where I focus on cancer biology research under the guidance of Dr. Joal Beane. My work centers on studying small non-coding RNAs (sncRNAs) and their role in dedifferentiated liposarcoma (ddLPS), one of the most aggressive types of soft tissue sarcoma. I am particularly passionate about identifying new therapeutic targets that could improve outcomes for patients with this rare cancer.
I earned my MD with a specialization in Medical Biophysics from Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University in Moscow. During my medical training, I was actively involved in cancer research, which fueled my interest in understanding complex diseases. While writing my thesis at Fox Chase Cancer Center, I worked on exploring the immunological mechanisms underlying hepatocellular carcinoma and abdominal aortic aneurysm, which helped sharpen my skills in biomedical research.
I have published my research in journals such as Nature Communications and Cancer Discovery, and I have had the opportunity to present my findings at both national and international conferences. I am deeply committed to advancing the field of RNA biology in cancer, with a long-term goal of developing innovative RNA-based therapeutics to improve patient care.
