Dr. Keung is an assistant professor and sarcoma surgeon-scientist in the Department of Surgical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Keung received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson. She leads a translational research program focused on uncovering tumor and immune-mediated mechanisms of response and resistance to immunotherapy and identifying predictive biomarkers of therapeutic response in soft tissue sarcoma, with the goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets and treatment strategies for patients with soft tissue sarcoma. Her work is supported by the MD Anderson Physician Scientist Program, the National Cancer Institute’s Early-Stage Surgeon Scientist Program (ESSP), and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer Steven A. Rosenberg Scholar Award. She is a past recipient of a Sarcoma Foundation of America Research Award and Society of Surgical Oncology Young Investigator Award.
