I completed my BSc in Biotechnology Engineering and MSc in Genetics and Molecular Biology in Mexico City. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD at McGill University, working under the supervision of Dr. Nada Jabado and Dr. Livia Garzia at the Research Institute of the MUHC. My research focuses on studying the role of oncohistones in cancer and development. One of my projects has a particular emphasis on the genetics of high-grade bone tumors. I am investigating the mechanisms behind tumor growth, chemotherapy response, and metastatic dissemination in osteosarcoma, aiming to deepen our understanding of these processes to inform better therapeutic strategies.
