Emily Papai is from South Bend, Indiana and currently lives in downtown Philadelphia. She was educated at Drexel University in Health Sciences graduating Cum Laude (2017) and Sidney Kimmel Medical College graduating Magna Cum Laude (2021) as a member of AOA and GHHS. She is a general surgery resident at Temple University Hospital and is currently is completing a two-year research fellowship in surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Her research focus is primarily on exploring pre-operative optimization and how to provide meaningful prognostication for patients. She also serves in several committees at the local and national level, recently elected as a member of Association of Academic Surgeons Committee on Technology and Communications.
