Dr. Villano is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Villano graduated from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, followed by a residency in General Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He completed fellowship training in Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where he remained as faculty. There, he specializes in the treatment of a wide array of malignancies including gastrointestinal, soft tissue sarcoma, hepatopancreatobiliary, neuroendocrine, and cutaneous. He specializes in minimally invasive approaches including robotic surgery and oversees the robotic surgery curriculum for the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. His research interests span both translational and clinical outcomes related work. Currently, he oversees a protocol exploring the pathogenesis of retroperitoneal liposarcoma, a type of soft tissue sarcoma.
