Dr. Breelyn A. Wilky, MD is Associate Professor and the Director of Sarcoma Medical Oncology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine Anschutz Medical Campus. In addition to treating patients with GIST and sarcomas, Dr. Wilky conducts laboratory and clinical research focused on immunotherapy, targeted therapy and precision medicine, and early phase drug development. She is also the Deputy Associate Director for Clinical Research at the University of Colorado Cancer Center, and leads the investigator-initiated clinical trials committee, to help investigators bring laboratory and clinical research to patients. Dr. Wilky received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Music from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, and attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey (now Rutgers Medical School.) She received her MD with Distinction in Research. She then completed the Osler internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and stayed on to complete her fellowship in Medical Oncology. Prior to her role in Colorado, Dr. Wilky was Assistant Professor at the University of Miami.
