Currently serving as the Professor and Chief at the Department of Orthopedic Oncology and Reconstructive Medicine, Nara Medical University, Japan since 2019. After acquisition of PhD degree at the Postgraduate School of Nara Medical University in 1994, finished his post-doctoral fellowship at the Department of Anatomy, Pathology and Cell Biology, Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA. Since then, has continuously been devoting all efforts, energies and passion into the field of orthopedic oncology and cancer research both as a surgeon and a basic researcher at Nara Medical University. Also engaged in the research of cancer and stem cell biology, regenerative and restorative medicine. Has been a visiting fellow at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, USA in 2002. Earned Master Degree of Clinical Epidemiology at The University of Newcastle, Australia in 2007. Has been a member of numerous academic societies including American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Association for Cancer Research, European Association for Cancer Research, Connective Tissue Oncology Society, The Japanese Orthopedic Association, Japanese Cancer Association, Japanese Association of Sarcoma Treatment and Research. Has published numerous articles in the areas of cancer research, orthopedic surgery as well as regenerative medicine, and has also been serving as the editorial board member and peer reviewer for several scientific journals. Be a president for the 58th Annual Meeting of Musculoskeletal Tumors of The Japanese Orthopedic Association in 2025.
