Crystal Seldon Taswell is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Seldon Taswell graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2014 on a full scholarship. She then graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia in 2018 on a full-tuition scholarship from the Coca-Cola Company. She completed her Transitional Year residency at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia in 2019. She is a recent graduate from the Radiation Oncology residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida in 2023. Her clinical sites of interest are musculoskeletal and breast tumors. She has a special interest in promoting racial and gender diversity in the field of Radiation Oncology and is the immediate past Chair of the Society for Women in Radiation Oncology (SWRO). She is also an advocate for patient and physician rights and participated in the Legislative and Government Fellowship with the Florida Radiological Society in Tallahassee, Florida. Outside of work, Crystal enjoys chasing behind her 3 daughters, exercising, and spending time with family.
