JEFFREY D. WAYNE, MD, FACS, is a Professor of Surgery and Dermatology, and Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology, at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Wayne also serves as the Associate Director for Clinical Affairs of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is Chair of the Cancer Committee of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he completed a 2 year term as Chief of Staff. Dr. Wayne sits on the editorial boards of American Journal of Clinical Oncology and the Journal of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Wayne served on the NCCN Sarcoma Panel for 18 years, and has served on the NCCN GIST Task Force. He received his MD from the Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at University of Chicago Hospitals. He completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Wayne’s research is primarily focused on the multimodality treatment of melanoma and soft tissue sarcoma. He also has an interest in Surgical Outcomes, as well as defining and promoting quality in the care of cancer patients.
