Daniel S. Lefler (he/him) is an Assistant Professor and the Associate Clinical Director of Sarcoma Medical Oncology at the Abramson Cancer Center at the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves as Assistant Program Director of Penn's hematology/oncology fellowship. His passion is the excellent clinical care of patients with connective tissue tumors. Within medical education, he has worked to improve applicant selection of medical trainees and implemented an early phase clinical trials workshop for oncology fellows. His research interests span real-world data/outcomes, genomics and biomarker work, and novel drug development. He has previously presented analyses of sarcoma transcriptomics delving into cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) and the mTOR pathway at both CTOS and ASCO annual meetings, and his goal is to more effectively match patients with therapies that benefit them.
