Dr. Alessandra Borghi is a young general surgeon currently part of the Sarcoma Surgery Unit at the National Cancer Institute in Milan (INT).
Alessandra graduated with honors in Medicine & Surgery from the University of Milan in 2018 and completed her General Surgery residency at the same university in 2024. Throughout her training, she worked in various hospitals affiliated with the University of Milan, primarily focusing on major abdominal surgeries, including sarcoma surgery, hepatobiliary-pancreatic procedures and liver transplantation.
During her residency, Alessandra developed a strong interest in surgical oncology, and particularly for the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas. She has been collaborating with the Sarcoma Unit at the National Cancer Institute since 2021, actively participating in both clinical and research activities.
In 2024 Alessandra was selected for the General Surgical Oncology fellowship 2025-2027 program at the University of Toronto.
