Clinical Research Coordinator
Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan
Milano, Lombardia, Italy
My name is Daniela Salvatore, and I am a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Sarcoma Surgery Unit at the National Cancer Institute of Milan. I earned my degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Bologna in 2015, where I first ventured into the field of oncology. I deepened my expertise by obtaining a PhD in Molecular and Translational Medicine from the University of Milan in 2020. During my PhD, I spent six months at the University of Leeds, which significantly enhanced my professional and personal growth, as well as my English proficiency. Following a nearly two-year postdoctoral experience, I began my career as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the National Cancer Institute of Milan in 2021, where I have continued to develop my background in Oncological Clinical Research. Every day, I face new challenges and I am involved in competitive and innovative clinical projects. Morever, since 2022, my role as Clinical Research Coordinator for the Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Registry (RESAR) has provided me with the brilliant opportunity to collaborate within a network of leading sarcoma experts, supporting also the management and execution of the Transatlantic Australasian Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group (TARPSWG) clinical studies. In early 2024, my focus expanded through involvement with the RESAR Executive Committee, working closely with top sarcoma specialists to streamline the administrative processes for RESAR study and create a more efficient, globally connected network. These efforts have enhanced collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, advancing the mission to improve research and outcomes for sarcoma patients worldwide.
