Dr David Gyorki is a consultant surgical oncologist in the sarcoma and melanoma tumour streams at Peter Mac and a clinical Professor in the Sir Peter MacCallum Department of Oncology at the University of Melbourne.

David is actively involved in sarcoma research as the chair of the governance committee and high volume contributor to the Retroperitoneal Sarcoma registry. He is the Australian lead of the STRASS2 trial, leading an Australian government grant to run the trial as well as associated substudies. David is also a board director of the Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association.

David has also been at the forefront of research in neoadjuvant therapies for melanoma, contributing to protocol development and recruitment for a number of practice-changing, high impact clinical trials.
