Natacha Entz-Werlé is a professor of Pediatrics since 2009. Trainee in Oncology subspecialty, she graduated in 2001 and became an expert in pediatric oncology. She is gathering both clinical and scientific expertise based on her past scientific, clinical, and educational training. She obtained her MD in 1999 and her PhD in 2002. After her post-doctoral fellowship in 2006 at SickKids hospital in Toronto, she was starting to structure and lead the regional program of bone tumors’ management in Alsace region, associating pathologists, biologists, radiologists, surgeons and rehabilitation center, to create a bone tumor therapeutic network to optimize patient care. She is working jointly in pediatric hemato-oncological department at University Hospital of Strasbourg and in UMR CNRS 7021 – team OnKO3T. She is taking part of the French national working group on bone tumors in the SFCE (Société Française des Cancers de l’enfant) and participating to FOSTER consortium and BOOST initiative. Her research interest is translational programs bridging preclinical assessments of novel and innovative therapies to clinical trials in children with bone tumors. Her main topics are focusing on hypoxia and immunomodulation associated with metabolomic rewiring. As a clinical investigator, she is part of several trials from phase I to III. Her preclinical studies allowed to develop national phase I trial in osteosarcoma field.
