Dr. Matteo Trucco practices Pediatric Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic and Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, specializing in Pediatric Sarcomas, rare tumors and clinical research.
Dr. Trucco completed his undergraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Biology and Philosophy of Science. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine, inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society during his Junior year, completed Pediatrics Internship and Residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital/ Case Western Reserve University and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology training at Johns Hopkins University and the National Cancer Institute. He also completed a K12 Faculty Fellowship in Pediatric Oncology Clinical Research and obtained a Certificate of Added Qualification in Clinical Investigations.
He currently serves as the Clinical Director for the Department of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and BMT and as Director for the Children's Cancer Innovative Therapy Program at Cleveland Clinic Children's. He Co-Chairs the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation's Sunshine Project Consortium and moderates the National Ewing Sarcoma (NEWS) Tumor Board and the Tumor Review Board for Osteosarcoma (TURBO) and is the Science Co-Chair for the annual Osteosarcoma FACTOR conference. He also sits on the advisory board for several foundations focused on improving treatment for children with cancer.
