Siri Larønningen works as a senior adviser in the Cancer Regsitry of Norway, which is now a part of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. She has worked in the cancer registry since 2004 with coding and registration, data delivery and data flow, and has also been head of the Registration section and head of the data in-unit. She is currently working mostly on metadata, data flow, classicitcations and standards and international projects. She is also head of the NORDCAN secretariat.
