Subrata is a member of the AIML team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center (MSKCC) where is involved in applying machine learning technologies for personalized medicine and treatment care of cancer patients with focus on computer vision and Large Language Models (LLM). Some of his recent vision projects involve prognostic and diagnostic multimodal models using 3D MRI, 3D CT images, clinical and treatment information to detect survival, distant metastases, and presence of plaque in large vessels for cancer patients. Recent LLM projects involve detecting pancreatic cancer, curation of specific clinical entities in radiology reports from high-risk patients followed through a pancreatic cyst surveillance program, identifying smoking status and family history from clinical reports, and identifying patients who are more likely to experience cancer-associated venous thromboembolism.
Subrata has a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and has worked in a variety of industries including finance, and consulting before joining MSKCC.
