Yi-Jia Li, Ph.D., is an assistant research professor of Immuno-Oncology at Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope Cancer Center in California. Dr. Li studies the molecular mechanisms of cancer progression in tumor microenvironment, with the main focus on solid tumors. She also studies cancer metabolism and the mechanism underlying how the metabolites from tumor cells can crosstalk with immune cells. Recently, Dr. Li expanded her research to translocation-related sarcoma and is interested in dissecting the mechanism underlying tumor metastasis. In addition to her research, Dr. Li is also devoted to therapeutic development for cancer treatment.
Dr. Li earned her Ph.D degree in Taiwan, and she completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California. Dr. Li’s research, which has been published in journals including Nucleic Acid Research, Nature Communications, and Molecular Therapy, is a result of her collaborative efforts with her mentors and colleagues at City of Hope Cancer Center. She also has three patents filed with her mentors and City of Hope Cancer Center.
