Clinical Associate Professor
University of Michigan Department of Orthopedic Surgery
I am a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Oncologist and I practice at the University of Michigan Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. In my clinical practice I am 50% focused on the evaluation and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal cancer with a focus on bone and soft tissue sarcomas, and I have a 50% appointment at the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration hospital where I take care of General Orthopaedic issues of the Veterans. I have an interest in limb salvage and maintenance of function. I also dedicate time to the research of musculoskeletal conditions, both malignant in nature as well as from a biomechanical and basic science functional standpoint. I am interested in the molecular biology of cancerous and benign growths as well as the normal non-malignant cell as it relates to the musculoskeletal system. As such my interests are suited toward projects related to the categorization and study of sarcoma type cancers in both a clinical trial setting as well as a basic science function.
