Dr. Lake received her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed a pediatric hematology/oncology/BMT fellowship and a pediatric cancer research fellowship at the University of Colorado/Children’s Hospital Colorado. She served as faculty at Children’s Hospital Colorado before joining the Pediatric Oncology Branch at the National Cancer Institute in 2023 as an Assistant Research Physician under the mentorship of Dr. Rosie Kaplan. Dr. Lake’s research interests include the development of clinical trials for children, adolescents, and young adults with solid tumors. Her focus is on cellular and other therapies that help activate and enhance the immune system to eliminate cancer.
