Attending Surgical Oncologist
Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Italy
I am a surgical oncologist committed to improving outcomes for patients with soft tissue sarcoma (STS) and gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori (INT) in Milan, Italy. In 2019, I completed a two-year Surgical Oncology clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada. Since 2013, I have been actively involved in the Transatlantic Australasian Retroperitoneal Sarcoma Working Group (TARPSWG), where I serve as the coordinator of the Education Committee. My primary research interest is in developing prognostic models for patients with extremity and retroperitoneal STS. In 2015, I led the development of Sarculator, a free mobile app for smartphones and tablets that provides digital prognostic calculations for patients with STS. With thousands of downloads worldwide, Sarculator has become a valuable tool to support sarcoma clinicians and patients in daily clinical practice.
