PhD Student
Leiden University Medical Center, Netherlands
Sanne Venneker is currently a PhD student in the research group of Professor Judith Bovée at the Leiden University Medical Center. Her research focusses on two sarcoma types that are characterized by mutation-driven epigenetic alterations: chondrosarcoma (IDH mutations) and giant cell tumour of bone (H3F3A mutations). The aim of her PhD is to identify novel targeted therapeutic options for both these tumour types and to gain insight into the driver role of IDH mutations in later stages of cartilage tumour development.
