Dana Farber Cancer Institute
I am a physician and clinical/translational investigator at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I conduct both industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials in the Sarcoma Center and Center for Cancer Therapeutic Innovation (CCTI), which is our early drug development program. My translational research focuses on (1) identifying novel predictive biomarkers and targets for therapeutic exploitation in sarcomas, and (2) integrating findings from my work into subsequent trials and ultimately clinical practice to improve the management of sarcomas. My specific areas of interest include characterizing mechanisms of genomic integrity loss in sarcomas with chromosomal instability, and determining drug response and resistance mechanisms in oncogene-driven sarcomas like gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). This translational work complements my clinical research, which aims to develop targeted therapies rooted in the biological underpinnings of sarcomas.
