My name is Sophie Reijers and I am PhD cadidate Surgical Oncology (Sarcoma and Melanoma Unit) at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
After obtaining my medial degree in 2018 at the VU Amsterdam I started working as resident not in training at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital in 2019. During my time there I became interested in the surgical care of soft tissue sarcomas and at the end of 2019 I was able to start my research under the supervision of dr. Winan van Houdt.
