Dr. Ahmed M. Elabd, MBBCh, MSc, is a highly skilled and accomplished Pediatric Orthopaedic and MSK Oncology Surgeon, with extensive training and research experience both in the United States and internationally. He earned his medical degree (MBBCh) from Alexandria University, Egypt, and later completed a Master’s Degree in Orthopaedic Surgery at Benha School of Medicine, Egypt. His commitment to advanced training is evident through multiple fellowships, including pediatric orthopaedic clinical fellowships at prestigious institutions such as Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and Montefiore Medical Center in New York City in addition to MSK oncology fellowship with one of the leaders in the field Dr. Robert Henshaw at MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Elabd pursued research fellowships at Texas Children’s Hospital, Baylor College of Medicine, and Texas Tech University Health Science Center. His research has focused on musculoskeletal tumors, pediatric trauma, and bone growth, and he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributing valuable insights to pediatric orthopaedic and MSK Oncology care. Dr. Elabd’s work ohas been presented at international conferences such as the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) and the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS).
Throughout his career, Dr. Elabd has received numerous honors and awards, including recognition from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and Excellence in Research Awards. His academic service includes serving as a reviewer for journals such as the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Cureus Journal of Medical Science.
