Shree Venkat, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Interventional Radiology at University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. After obtaining a BSE in Chemical engineering, and a BA in English Language and Literature at University of Michigan, she completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. After residency, she completed her Vascular and Interventional radiology (VIR) fellowship at University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine where she continues to practice.
Dr. Venkat is Board-Certified in Diagnostic radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology. Her research interests favor interventional oncology techniques to manage localized cancer with focus on Sarcoma embolization, and tumor ablation. In this field of study, she has coauthored several publications in peer-reviewed journals. Clinical service is also balanced with participation on the Clinical Competency committee for the VIR fellowship program.
