Dr. Koo completed the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the University of Chicago, finishing her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2009 and MD in 2011. She completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Chicago in 2015, serving as chief resident in 2014-2015. She additionally completed two one-year ACGME-accredited fellowships in Molecular Genetic Pathology (University of Chicago, 2016) and Pediatric Pathology (Boston Children’s Hospital, 2017). Prior to joining St. Jude, she was staff pathologist and autopsy pathology director at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and assistant professor at The Ohio State University from 2017 to 2021. She joined St. Jude in April 2021 as an Assistant Member on the clinical track. Her clinical service includes coverage of both the solid tumor pathology and molecular pathology services.
