In 2015, I had a short-term visit to UniversistÓ“tsklinikum Essen. In 2017, I was selected as a fellow of the International Society of Limb Salvage (ISOLS), during which I visited the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in the UK and the Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli in Italy.
I have served as an orthopaedic oncologist since 2011 and have been an associate professor at The Catholic University of Korea since 2022. Currently, I am at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine as a Visiting Assistant Project Scientist through an exchange program.
I am a member of major related international societies, including ISOLS, the European Musculoskeletal Oncology Society, and the Asia Pacific Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (APMSTS), and I serve as a board member of several Korean societies. This year, I was approved as a member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society as well.
I perform hundreds of musculoskeletal tumor surgeries annually and have led various clinical and basic research projects, holding several international patents. I have also received awards at several international and domestic conferences, most recently winning the Best Podium Award at the APMSTS meeting held in Taiwan in 2023.
